The ME inversion in Hinode Science Center doesn't work as usual.
The job status remains qw (waiting for execusion) forever.
Thanks to webmaster, this situation recovered today.
I could not sleep until 2a.m. last night, dealing with this job problems.

Mac HD recovered!

I exchanged my HD into new one, and restored the backup data using TimeMachine application.
That procedure took more than 2 hours, but it successfully recovered!
The only trouble was the amount of unread mails.
I don't know why, but some old e-mails came again as unread mails.
The lesson is "It is quite important to take backup frequently."

Mac HD clash!

Yesterday night, my Mac's HD had clashed!!
Since this is my first experience, I couldn't understand what was happening.
Everything works so slowly.  Even the launching took about 10 minutes.
Hopefully it will recover when the exchange of HD will be completed...

Presentation

For a researcher, the presentation technique is very important.
I reconfirmed it with this document, written by T. Matsuda (Kobe Univ.).

Rakuto high school

Yesterday, I went to Rakuto high school to help teaching the analysis of the moon's craters.
For calculating the height of a crater, one has to know the angle to the sun.
As the students are not familiar with trigonometric functions, it was difficult to teach smoothly.
However at least, they became interested in the moon.
This is a brilliant success, I think.
